Slag traps

For the past several years, ECO INSTAL has been implementing technical solutions ensuring reliable and trouble-free operation of dedusting and conveying equipment.

The slag trap is a strategic device within the heating plant infrastructure, while its failure-free operation is critical for the system. The observations show that in the majority of cases, the customers are not satisfied with the long-term used deslagging solutions. Bearing in mind the foregoing, ECO INSTAL launched its WS-300 slag trap onto the market.

The major properties of the device include:

pneumatic tightness of the boiler by immersion of the slag hoppers in the water contained in the slag trap chute,
slag extinguishing,
filtering off water from slag on the inclined section of the slag trap,
conveying of slag to the storage yard or other conveying devices.

The slag trap is made of three main elements i.e. steel chute, shaftless conveyor and a drive unit in the form of a gear-motor.

WS-300 is well-protected against erosion and corrosion, since the entire chute is clad with basalt elements. The conveyor made of hard abrasive steel does not have any intermediate bearings.
In the case of small units with a single slag hopper, we offer single point slag traps, while for the larger units with several dust reception points, we offer multi-point slag traps made of segments for easy transportation and installation.

The major properties of the WS-300 slag trap include:

simple and robust design,
failure-free operation,
minimum maintenance requirements,
universal application for all types and sizes of boilers,
no need for storage of repair kits (which was necessary for the chain and scraper solutions),
elimination of possible blocking or clogging,
automatic water refill (optionally).

Upon the customer request, ECO INSTAL may provide full automatic control and slag trap protection.
